Earth Day treat

What earth day is complete with out a yummy treat!

Here we are supporting a local family business that serves a small organic farms ice cream and frozen yogurt.  

We had a great time, and this was the perfect way to cap it off. 

It runs in the family.

Look Mom- it (skateboarding) runs in the family!

Here is a short video of enthusiastic Ava- scooting around on a skateboard. This was her first time, and we took it easy, focusing on balance and fun!

Like father like daughter.

I spent a good portion of my life skateboarding.

Here is a pic of my daughter on a skateboard for the first time.

We were smart and put on elbow pads, gloves and a helmet.

It was good exercise for her, keeping her balance, and working her arms, to move around. She was even turning. Ava did great as like most things in life, attitude makes all the difference. She won that battle, again and really enjoyed herself!

Natures beauty, is appreciated by children.

Ava picked this. She said it looked like the flower from Horton hears a Who, movie an Dr. Seuss Book. I am learning a lot from this Child. She is patient, and notices things most of us miss. there is beauty all around us, and I appreciate the blessings this child has brought to my life- to take it slow, and notice the details of the journey!
